President Barack Obama responded forcefully Republican criticism on their energy policies and their role to control gas prices.
Obama said his government work in order to develop alternative sources of energy and increase fuel efficiency, AP reported.
The president accused Republicans of low vision to solve the energy problems of the nation.
It is a familiar theme: Obama reiterated many of the positions expressed during two tours this week and in a press conference at the White House on Wednesday.
"We can not just drilling to reduce gas prices, we can not do when we consume 20% of oil in the world," Obama said.
The North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple, accused the government of blocking projects that would enable greater energy production.
