Obama stands before the military plans of North Korea

NEW YORK-The Pentagon said yesterday that the U.S. has suspended shipment of 240,000 tons of food to North Korea after Pyongyang broke its commitment to freeze its nuclear program in exchange for aid. For the Obama administration can not be trusted to distribute humanitarian aid among the needy.

Washington had warned that any launch would jeopardize care. But recent official comments at a hearing in Congress have made clear the position of the U.S. government provocations from North Korea. "The plan of the rocket launch next month reflects the lack of desire (by North Korea) to further international commitments, and therefore we have been forced to suspend our activities to provide nutrition assistance to North Korea "said the official secretary of defense for Asia and the Pacific, Peter Lavoy. In light of the activities of North Korea, the United States has "no confidence" where possible "to ensure that food aid be delivered to people who are starving and not the elite of the regime" justified Lavoy during his speech to the Committee on Armed Services of the House of Representatives.

Under the agreement reached last month, North Korea had agreed to a moratorium on missile tests in return for U.S. food aid.

However, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kim Il Sung the communist regime has announced the launch of a long-range missile between 12 and 16. Pyongyang ensures that it is a satellite and scientific purposes only. Instead, the U.S. and other countries consider it a test of long-range missile banned under UN resolutions. "This release schedule is a challenge because it shows the desire for North Korea to try and increase their long-range missile," he recalled added Lavoy while violating the resolutions of the Security Council of United Nations. "During the discussions (on support) United States made it clear that the satellite launch would break all previous agreements," recalled Lavoy.

It was in 2002 when former Republican President George W. Bush labeled North Korea as part of the "axis of evil" along with Iran and Iraq. At the United Nations has addressed the issue of North Korea on several occasions since 1993 when the Security Council asked the country to consider its withdrawal from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and comply with its obligations under this agreement. Four years later, the same body condemned the launch of ballistic missiles.

In 2009, with President Obama, Washington continued its strong against Asian country when it imposed a comprehensive package of sanctions. Later that year, Obama reaffirmed all UN resolutions against North Korea. And now it seems it will have to take up the issue in this international body.
